Dr Sadhana Gupta
Dr. Sadhana Gupta is one of the well-known Obstetrician & Gynecologist of India with experience of 38 years in diverse specialties of women's health. Dr. Sadhana Gupta is proprietor, director and senior Ob Gyn Consultant of Jeevan Jyoti Hospital & Medical Research Centre at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh, India).
Dr. Sadhana Gupta has been an exceptional student since the beginning. She achieved the first position in the State Premedical test in 1976. She joined the oldest & Prestigious Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra for her medical studies. Dr. Sadhana Gupta was awarded 9 gold medals including Chancellors Medal for best MBBS student. She had a deep sense of the need for women's health and empowerment in India, which motivated her to join Obstetrics & Gynecology for her Masters's degree. A keen learner, surgeon, and researcher from the beginning, and was awarded the prestigious Dr.Nawal Kishore Gold Medal for the best postgraduate student.
In her professional career, Dr. Sadhana Gupta has served as a teacher and researcher at S.N.Medical College Agra, B.R.D Medical College Gorakhpur. She is an ardent advocate and believer of quality in health care. She started her own hospital by the name of Jeevan Jyoti Hospital & Medical Research Centre in 1994 which is well-known for providing all sorts of care, especially for women's health namely, full obstetrical care services, fetal and maternal imaging, obstetric High dependency unit, preventive oncology and, Gynaec & obstetric surgeries, and assisted reproductive technology services. Currently Jeevan Jyoti hospital & Medical research center provides E.NT , Dental, Neuro medicine, and surgery services as well
She has also served as an honorary and visiting consultant at public health at Lalit Narayian Misra Northeast Railway Hospital Gorakhpur & Fertilizer Corporation of India.
Being updated with new skills and technology as well as providing quality latest services to women of her region is her passion. She has been trained in Obstetrics Gynnaec imaging especially ultrasound, preventive oncology, high-risk obstetrics and fetal medicine. Since 2007 Jeevan Jyoti advanced infertility wing is providing Assisted Reproductive services. Delivering quality affordable accessible health care to all sections of women has been her vision and mission throughout her career.

Dr. Sadhana Gupta, since the beginning had a deep sense of social responsibility for underprivileged and marginalized women and families. She is the founder trustee of Jeevan Jyoti Trust which provides quality low-cost quality and patient care to weaker sections. Jeevan Jyoti Trust has established a Paramedical teaching institute also and provides various courses.

Dr. Sadhana Gupta for her academic and clinical contribution has been awarded membership of the National Academy of Medical sciences and fellowship of Indian College of Obs Gynaec and Indian College of Medical Ultrasound and Indian college of Maternal & child health.
Professional Organization
Dr. Sadhana Gupta has served in various professional organizations in various capacities and responsibilities. Dr. Sadhana Gupta was a key founder member of establishing Gorakhpur Obstetric & Gynecological Society. Dr. Sadhana Gupta has accomplished many key programs for Indian Medical Association, She was an ambassador for “save the Girl Child” abhiyan by IMA, key coordinator for organizing a series of workshops for HIV AIDS management for physicians and Family welfare programs. She has been awarded the Dr. Savita Rastogi award twice for the best female doctor in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Sadhana Gupta’s journey in FOGSI ie Federation of obstetrics & Gynecological Society of India has been an inspirational story of dedicated service and excellence. Dr. Sadhana Gupta held key positions from Local Society to various National & International platforms. She has held every post and responsibility with exemplary dedication and excellence.
She has been secretary of Gorakhpur Obs & Gynaec Society from 1999-2002 and President of Gorakhpur Obs Gynaec Society from 2009-2011. She has organized Key Zonal and National Conferences during her tenure at Gorakhpur – Safe abortion conference 2000, Adolescent Congress 2002, ICOG conference on Maternal Mortality North Zone Yuva FOGSI 2010, UP state chapter conference 2016 are a few key conferences. Besides Dr. Sadhanan Gupta organized a large number of rural Camps as President of Gorakhpur Obs Gynaec Society.
Dr. Sadhana Gupta served as national m chairperson Safe Motherhood Committee from 2011-2014. She conducted nationwide Maternal Mortality workshops in all cadres of the city and city chapter of FOGSI to train and disseminate knowledge and skill on the management of major and key causes of Maternal death and serious maternal morbidity. Her skill & drill obstetric Hemorrhage workshop had made a great impact on Maternal morbidity and mortality. She was honored with Dr. Mehroo Dara Hansotia Award for best committee chairperson in 2014
Dr. Sadhana Gupta has been National Vice President 2016 of FOGSI. As vice President of FOGSI she has left her deep imprint by doing ground-level work Pan and across India. Postpartum Hameoorohage workshop, optimizing Antenatal care, and critical care workshops in Pan India were her key achievements.
Dr. Sadhana Gupta has been the Indian College of Obs Gynaec (ICOG )Governing council member for two completed terms from 2015-2021, She has organized the I COG conference on Adolescent Health and Maternal Mortality and edited the ICOG campus in 2021. She has been awarded first-ever best ICOG governing council member award from the Indian College of Obs Gynaec.
Dr. Sadhana Gupta is the founder and president of the Gorakhpur Chapter of isoparb . She is a very active member of Isoparb and has organized the National first-ever hybrid isoparb conference on the theme of prevention of Stillbirth which is one of the key national health priorities of India
Dr. Sadhana Gupta is a candidate for the post of FOGSI presidential post, election going to be held in the year 2023 with commitment .compassion and conviction
International Presence
Dr.Sadhana Gupta has served as country representative (FOGSI ) in WHO regional expert meeting for MDG goal at Sri Lanka 2012, Quality Reproductive Child health 2013, and essential newborn and postpartum care in 2016. Dr. Sadhana Gupta has been proactive and positive in WHO USAID meetings and has been applauded for the pro-people approach and action.
Dr. Sadhana Gupta was elected as FOGSI representative to the South Asian Federation of Obs Gynaec ( SaFOG ) from 2018-2022. In her tenure, she has organized and coordinated a series of programs in all South Asian Countries –Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India. She has organized a series of webinars and virtual programs on key women’s health issues like – Covid management, infections in Obs Gynaec, Non-Communicable diseases, Diabetes Mellitus, and high-risk pregnancy. She has been instrumental in organizing skill workshops on PPH, instrumental delivery under the aegis of SAFOG
At present, Dr. Sadhana Gupta is Co Chair SAFOG NCD committee. She is very active in advocacy for the prevention and management of Non-communicable diseases in South Asia
Dr. Sadhana Gupta has been active in FIGO conferences and has been appreciated by FIGO for her original work done on the reproductive and sexual health of temporary migrant workers in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Sadhana Gupta has been teaching faculty for FOGSI ICOG critical care workshops and international sessions with SAFOG and AOFOG
